FocusBrew ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the FocusBrew mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in via Apple or Google, we receive only the information you authorize.

Task Data: Tasks, notes, and any content you create within the App are stored to provide you with the service. This data is yours.

Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data (e.g., feature usage frequency, session duration) to improve the App. This data cannot identify you personally.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the FocusBrew service
To process your subscription and manage your account
To send essential service communications (e.g., password resets, billing confirmations)
To analyze anonymized usage patterns and improve features
To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

3. AI Features & Speech-to-Text

FocusBrew offers AI-powered task breakdown and speech-to-text features. When you use these features:

Speech audio is processed to convert your voice to text. We do not store raw audio recordings.
Task text may be sent to our AI processing service to generate subtask suggestions. This data is not used to train AI models.
You can use FocusBrew without enabling AI or speech features.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We use trusted cloud infrastructure providers who maintain SOC 2 compliance.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Export your tasks and account data
Delete your account and all associated data
Opt out of non-essential analytics

7. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with the following third-party services:

Apple HealthKit / Google Fit: Only if you opt in, for wellness-related features
RevenueCat: For subscription management and billing
Firebase: For crash reporting and anonymized analytics

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.

8. Children's Privacy

FocusBrew is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
